OUR PUPPET SHOWS

Our travelling puppet theatre specializes in puppet shows for children between the ages 3 and 8. The aim of our shows is to entertain, educate and bring out the inner sparkle of creativity in children.

Our repertoire includes well-known fairy tales, tales from all over the world and also modern stories including The Little Red Riding Hood, The Three Little Pigs, Hansel and Gretel, The Magic Pot or The Three Billy Goats Gruff. We use a wide variety of puppets from hand-puppets to marionettes made of either wood, paper-mache or fabric.

Our shows are enriched by the heritage of a unique ancient art of Eastern European puppetry. They are perfect for nurseries, primary schools as well as birthday parties and other private events.

CREATIVE WORKSHOPS

We nurture each child's creative expression and develop his/her motor skills in our special drama workshops where children not only learn to make puppets themselves but also create their own original puppet shows - a perfect way to develop imagination and self-confidence!
They last from 30 min to 2 hours according to age group, place and other requirements. Most of the workshop items such as paper, cardboard, fabric and other material are recycled.

THE MAGIC POT

The Magic Pot is a very old story from Eastern Europe some of you might know under the name The Magic Porridge Pot. It is a lovely tale of kindness and generosity people show each other in the times of hardship. It is also about taking care of our environment and not wasting food.

Sharing, being kind to each other and taking care of nature as well as the importance of a nutritious diet, all dealt with in a fun way, are the key elements of this new show for younger children aged 3-7 years. It lasts 30 min and in nurseries can be followed by a puppet-making workshop .

GUEST BOOK

THE MAGIC POT:

  • Raquel, mother of a 4-year old: Thank you for a very creative afternoon, we enjoyed the story, the props, well, everything. It was truly magical!
  • Pete, Roxana and their 4-year old Miro: Fantastic! Lovely story, creative workshop + letting the children make their own stories on the set was wonderful. Well done!!
  • Father of a 5-year old Alba: Great show and a fantastic set - porridge flew very beautifully. Brave to have a show in your house, thanks for inviting us!
THE LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD:

  • Marta Mari, theatre director, mother of a 4-year old Amelia: The show was really well presented and enjoyable. Simple yet effective. This is a perfect way to get children to love theatre since the story is well known to everybody and on many levels develops children's imagery and creative thinking. The fact that the children are allowed to touch and play with puppets makes the experience extra valuable. Thanks :-)!
  • Kay Montagu, mother of an 8-year-old. The puppets and the scenery livened up the story. I thought the wolf was fantastic - great that he was so big and could eat Little Red Riding Hood and granny. Loved the different voices and sound effects. Brilliant!
THE ELEPHANT AND THE BAD BABY

  • Karen Johnson, manager at the Meadows Nursery: The children loved this story and all the other shows, the two Marketas do a wonderful job at entertaining the children: their unique blend of comedy voices, puppetry and inspiring storytelling for all! The thing that inspires me is the effort that goes into making the puppets and the time taken afterwards to help the children craft their own puppets so they can be part of the show. A must for any nursery or children's group. Well done!
THE THREE LITTLE PIGS
  • Angela, nursery nurse at the Meadows Nursery: The children at Meadows Nursery really enjoyed this story and have become familiar with it enough to join in. They are very amused when the pot won't stop cooking + there is too much porridge. All the children sit engrossed in the show from beginning to end.
  • Anetta, nursery nurse at the Meadows Nursery: Marketa! Your puppet shows are really great! Your home made decorations and puppets are brilliant! Children enjoy it a lot, even the youngest ones! You and the other Marketa are a good team! Good work! All the best!
THE BIG BAD WOLF'S PUMPKIN SOUP

  • Anna, mother of a 5 and 7-year old: Lovely story. Rhymes worked very well. Really fun having puppet making at the end too!

ELEPHANT AND THE BAD BABY

"Once upon a time there was an Elephant. And one day the Elephant went for a walk and he met a Bad Baby. And the Elephant said to the Bad Baby, 'Would you like a ride?' And the Bad Baby said, 'Yes!' So the Elephant stretched out his trunk and picked up the Bad Baby and put him on his back, and they went rumpeta, rumpeta, rumpeta, all down the road....."
